Meredith Kooi is a visual and performance artist, critic, curator, and educator based in ATL. Using research-based and process-based practices, Meredith engages radio broadcast, performance, drawing, mapping, writing, book-making, zines, video, photography, and installation to illuminate the embodied nature of sites, spaces, and places. She received her BA in Environmental Studies from Denison University (Granville, OH; 2003-07) and her MA in Visual and Critical Studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Chicago; 2009-11). Currently, she is working on completing her PhD dissertation titled "the ether swaddles me | you | us: Towards a Feminine Poetics of Transmission Art" at Emory University in the Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts.
