Kristina Gaddy is the author of Flowers in the Gutter: The True Story of the Edelweiss Pirates, Teenagers Who Resisted the Nazis (published under K.R. Gaddy). She loves uncovering marginalized and forgotten histories, and her work appeared in The Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, Baltimore magazine, OZY, and Narratively, among other publications. She has an MFA in nonfiction from Goucher College, a BA in history, and a BA in modern languages and linguistics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). When she's not writing, she weaves, plays fiddle, and takes photos of her cats in her Baltimore rowhouse.
