Jack Vanchiere was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and received a BA, MA, and MFA in creative writing, from McNeese State University. They have fed many artists and writers at Headlands Center for the Arts: written some words for the Lake Charles American Press: won a poetry prize at Sigma Tau Delta: sometimes shown prints and paintings in group shows. And like some historical Jacks, have appeared in friends, colleagues, mentors, and former enemies’ stories, online and in print. Jack currently teaches at McNeese State University.
