Ben Compton is an artist and administrator living in Ottawa. His practice involves using video, sound, and text to interpret and reconfigure pop culture. Ben holds a BFA in Intermedia from Concordia University and an MFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design. His graduate thesis explored liveness and the potential of hybrid performance combining theatre and cinema. He currently works as Film Operations Manager at the Canadian Film Institute where he oversees technical logistics and programming for their festivals.
